The Isla Gigi Rosario Islands day pass takes you to a small island and includes things other clubs charge extra for, most notably the entrance to the Oceanarium. Add a welcome cocktail, a typical Cartagena snack, lunch, two drinks and a full set of water toys, and you have a well-rounded island day from Cartagena with very little left to pay once you are there.

The day is open to all ages, which makes it an easy pick for families and mixed groups. There is one plan, so you do not have to compare options: book your date and most of the day is already covered.

Isla Gigi Rosario Islands: how the day goes

Check in around 7:30 AM at the La Bodeguita tourist dock in Cartagena. Before boarding you pay the port tax and the mandatory maritime insurance in cash, in Colombian pesos. These are set by the authorities, are not part of the booking and may change without notice. The luxury sports boat departs at about 8:15 AM.

On arrival you are welcomed with a cocktail and a typical Cartagena snack, and then the day opens up. Snorkel, take out a paddle board or kayak, or simply float on the calm water with the floats provided. Lunch is a Caribbean plate with fish, beef, chicken or a vegetarian option, and two drinks are included across the day. A towel is provided too, so you can travel light.

A visit to the Oceanarium is part of the program, with the entrance already paid. It is a nice way for children and first-time visitors to learn about the marine life of the national park. The boat brings you back to Cartagena at around 3:30 PM.

Who it suits

Isla Gigi works well for families and mixed-age groups, for active travelers who want snorkel, paddle board and kayak without paying extra, and for anyone who wants to see the Oceanarium without buying a separate ticket. Groups of 15 or more can also request exclusive use of the island, which is worth asking about for celebrations or company outings. If you are traveling with children, Isla Gigi Rosario Islands is one of the simpler choices, since the water toys, towel and Oceanarium visit are already covered.

One all-in plan for the Rosario Islands

Because so much is included, the Isla Gigi Rosario Islands day pass is easy to budget. Beyond the cash fees at the dock, you only pay for optional extras on the island, such as jet ski, parasailing, traditional fishing or a panoramic boat tour. Hotel transfers to the dock are not included, but we can arrange a private transfer if you ask us on WhatsApp.
